I Love My Dessert

Find ways to incorporate your favorite treats and still lose weight. All girls love dessert!

Drink juice instead of soda. Some people drink soda to satisfy sweet cravings, but juice is much healthier and still tastes great. Naked and V8 drinks are filled with lots of nutrients and healthy ingredients. I often find myself drinking one before my in home personal training session.

Eating Fruit! Fruit is healthy and tastes great! It’s a great alternative. You can eat the fruit raw, cooked, out of a can, or even dried. Dried fruit is an awesome substitute for those who like to munch on gummies and candy.

Try flavored rice cakes instead of cookies. Rice cakes come in a variety of flavors such as caramel, Apple cinnamon and Strawberry etc. These taste great, satisfy those evil cravings and are much healthier. You can eat many more rice cakes than cookies!

Popcorn is also a great low calorie snack. To make it sweet and delicious, try unsalted popcorn with a bit of honey or a sprinkle of cocoa powder. It’s a great treat that you can take to the movies or munch on between meals.

It is healthier to make your own frozen treats than to eat ice cream bars and popsicles! Make ice pops by freezing juice in an ice cube tray (choose cute shaped trays to make it fun for the kids) Push toothpicks or Popsicle sticks through plastic wrap into each cube area. Freeze and enjoy!

Peanut butter is tasty and keeps you full until your next meal. Half of a whole wheat sandwich of peanut butter and jelly should do the trick! It’s also a great source of protein and fiber.

Sorbet is a frozen dessert made from frozen sugar water and fresh fruit. It’s naturally fat free which makes for less consummation of unhealthy calories. It’s also vegan! It includes the benefits of eating fruit and contains lots of great vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Not only is sorbet delicious but makes you feel as if you’re eating ice cream.

Greek yogurt is filled with lots of proteins and healthy nutrients. You can enjoy a health treat of honey and strawberries!
